Downdraught | |||
Near relative cold surfaces air is cooled down and will descent. People sitting near these cold surfaces will experience an uncomfortable draught. This phenomenon is called downdraught. Placing a radiator or convector beneath the cold surface can prevent downdraught. Due to the strong up going heat airflow the downdraught from the window will be compensated. When high-insulated glazing types is used (U-values below 1,5 or 2,0 W/m2K), downdraught will occur less easily. | ||||
