The Applied Thermomechanics course focuses on three main topics including moist air, thermodynamics of vapors and heat transfer. Each topic lead students to acquire basic principles and applications within HVAC building systems. Moist air chapter includes air processes which take place in an air handling unit. Thermodynamics of vapors aim to well known compression and absorption cycle of cooling machines and heat pumps. The last chapter introduces processes and principles of heat transfer in typical heat exchangers.
